Roger Austin (Born Winchester 1942)

Roger Austin As a schoolboy attended Saturday morning classes at Winchester School of Art, taught by inspirational teacher Stuart Daborn who studied at the Royal College under Gilbert Spencer.

1958 – 1962 Full-time student at Winchester School of Art, taught by the gentle guiding hand of John Elwyn who studied at the Royal College under Charles Mahoney.

1962 – 1965 Continued studying at the Royal Academy Schools where Charles Mahoney was drawing master and Peter Greenham the Keeper.

1962 Stumbled on an exhibition of collages by Kurt Schwitters at Marlborough Fine Art, Old Bond Street, London.

Has been painting, drawing, creating photoworks, writing poetry, walking, reading and listening to music ever since.
